This is my Day 7 of the first 90 days of being a Solopreneur.
Starting something new always bring changes. Changes are always something unknown. Unknown is uncomfortable. Uncomfortable means being outside your comfort zone. Being outside comfort zone means growth.
In my books growth means always up, achieving more, getting more done. I am very demanding towards myself. Especially now, when I created something new in my life and I couldn’t afford to fail.
I haven’t been very productive during last days and I have a feeling that time is passing me by and I am not achieving that much. Luckily for me I am a part of a coaching group where I can share my frustrations. I mentioned that I feel like a “confused butterfly” that made an effort to go through transformation, has the wings now but don’t know what to do next. One of my fellow business owners suggested:
“Let those wings soak up the sun. I watched a program about dragonflies yesterday, they spend a couple of years under water and are drab looking. Then they crawl out up a green shoot, rest for a little while in a cocoon, then burst out in truly beautiful colours and fly creating wonder where ever they go.”
So I am soaking up the sun.
Today I’ve come across explanation of GROWTH by Julia Cameron in her book “The Artist’s Way”
“Growth is an erratic forward movement: two steps forward, one step back. Remember that and be very gentle with yourself. … You are capable of great things on Tuesday, but on Wednesday you may slide backward. This is normal. Growth occurs in spurts. You will lie dormant sometimes. Do not be discouraged. Think of it as resting.”
In the moments like these I am looking for uplifting messages, like this one by Les Brown.
